This stainless steel thick wall professionally Tig Welded header has been at the forefront of the fastest spooling, highest horspower turbo kits on the market.
Improving on our original header was tough but we did it. Our header now features on piece collector and head flanges. Both of these pieces are investment cast in durable 304 stainless steel. These new pieces are stronger, more consistent and have smoother transitions than traditional welded together assembles. Another great benefit of casting is reduction in stress risers created during welding. These stress risers are where assembliles are the weakest and failures usually start. Because the cast pieces significantly reduce the amount of welding required, you end up with a straighter, stronger more resilient assembly.
The head flange and turbo flange are extra thick to guarantee a flat and even mating surfacef ort ehe head and turbo. Mandrel bent 304 stainles ssteel thick wall runners are then TIG welded to the collector and the head flange to complete the assembly. All headers are then hand ported to further reduce any horsepower robbing restrictions. The AMS logo is now prominently displayed on the collector flange.
